About Us

Beauty Matters was established in 2005 by Helen Walsh

​

Helen trained as a Beauty Therapist at Hugh Baird College straight from school in 1995. She worked in a local beauty salon before becoming self-employed and developed a mobile business in 2003. After being in a temporary premises the business moved to the present premises in 2005.

 

In 2020 after 15 years at the salon, during the covid-19 Pandemic Beauty Matters underwent a major refurbishment with its open plan front of house and a dedicated pedicure area with two private rooms for relaxing treatments, giving it the fresh clean and relaxing atmosphere.

 

The business has developed over the years and we pride ourselves on giving the best possible service for the best possible price. The business has been a pioneer in bringing new treatments to the area and strives to obtain the latest in beauty treatments.

 

As well as Helen being the owner and senior therapist, there are also 2 other therapists - Kerri and Mary.

 

We offer a warm and friendly atmosphere accompanied with refreshments during your treatment. We ensure that your treatment is always carried out to the highest standard and we are so confident in our ability to deliver what you want.

Helen, owner of Beauty Matters & a Beauty Therapist with over 23 years experience in the beauty industry who specialises in HD Brows and is a Dermaplane UK platinum plus technician specializing in Dermaplane facials and the Million Dollar Facial.

 

Kerri is a Beauty Therapist, Nail Technician, Lash Technician and now a HD Brow Stylist with over 12 years experience in the beauty industry.

 

Mary is a Beauty & Holistic Therapist, with over 21 years experience in the beauty industry.
